The House of Illustration are delighted to announce our participation in this year’s The Big Draw’s Big Splash on September 25th. Budding animators can bring their drawings to life with our zoetrope workshop run by the very talented Mark Long and Mark Oliver. At noon Quentin Blake will be arriving via tugboat to cut the ribbon spanning Islington’s Battlebridge Basin to open this day long drawing extravaganza. Workshops will be running throughout the day including appearances from Marion Deuchars and Hervé Tullet. This free family event will transform Kings Place and its surrounding canal side into a vast collective studio full of opportunities for creative fun.
On October 15th we are teaming up with the Hunterian Museum to put on a fabulous family event as part of this year’s Big Draw. Come along to see specialist medical illustrators demonstrating their expertise whilst the illustrator Sally Booth will inspire you to try out your skills in her drawing workshop inspired by the wondrous specimens in the Hunterian Museum’s collections.
