Trusts and Foundations Manager

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated fundraiser to join us as our Trusts and Foundations Manager. The role will involve working to raise money from trusts and foundations for House of Illustration’s year-round work. The successful candidate will have at least two years’ trusts and foundations fundraising experience and a proven track record of personally securing significant grants. They will able to demonstrate outstanding research, networking and communication skills and will be able to work to tight deadlines as part of a collaborative team. Curatorial Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Curatorial Assistant with excellent communication skills. They will support our small exhibitions team with the administration and delivery of temporary exhibitions, with a particular focus on facilitating loans of artwork and licensing of supporting material for display. The successful candidate will have at least one year’s experience supporting the organisation of exhibitions, handling artwork and liaising with artists and collectors. Excellent administration skills with strong attention to detail are essential as is the ability to meet deadlines and to work effectively on multiple projects. Download the job description below.

School Illustrator in Residence

We are looking for an early career illustrator (practicing for 2-5 years) who would like to build their experience in the field of education. House of Illustration was recently granted funding from John Lyons Charity and Ernest Cook Trust to set up a brand new education outreach programme, working with primary schools in Ealing, Harrow, Brent and Barnet. We are looking for an enthusiastic illustrator/educator to work as a freelancer from January – Easter 2019. The project will be based in one school over the period of 10 weeks or 22 school days.The residency programme is designed to mutually benefit the illustrator and the school, and will be tailored to the school depending on their specific needs. Download the job description below.
