Head of Communications

House of Illustration is seeking a Head of Communications. Reporting to the Director this role has overall responsibility for devising and implementing the organisation's communications strategy, including all press and marketing. It is an important post in a busy and dynamic team that will involve varied work in collaboration with colleagues across a range of areas. The post holder will be responsible for communication strategies for individual exhibitions and events but also for the way in which the organisation as a whole is perceived publicly.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with enthusiasm, commitment and creativity, as well as having the willingness to take on responsibilities both small and large, meticulous attention to detail and an interest in the arts. They will be able to operate at a senior level, and be comfortable communicating with and influencing senior journalists, partners and House of Illustration trustees.

Education Bookings and Marketing Co-ordinator

House of Illustration is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join us as Education Bookings & Marketing Co-ordinator. This is a new role reporting to the Head of Education and working within a small, busy team.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in cultural learning and experience of working in arts the arts or charity sector, as well as a background in administration and/or marketing. They will be able to efficiently administrate our school bookings and group bookings using excellent interpersonal communication skills and multiple systems including Google forms, Excel spreadsheets and calendars. They will also be responsible for implementing new digital marketing strategies both for the Pathways programme and for the education department.

The role requires a creative approach, a flair for effective social media marketing, meticulous attention to detail and an ability to work quickly to multiple deadlines.
