Family Workshop: Illustrating Utopia with Soofiya

Build a utopia out of plasticine and other unconventional materials as we push the boundaries of illustration this August in a colourful and collaborative workshop for children and their families. Click here to book your spot. On Saturday 25 August 2-5pm.

Illustrating ice cream competition

Help us illustrate the first ever ice cream recipe to be published in English for the chance to win a pair of free tickets to House of Illustration and to SCOOP: A Wonderful Ice Cream World this summer. Here's how. Tweet us your pics by 31 August.

Art Trails

Encourage your kids to explore on our art trails around each exhibition (one family ticket covers admission to all three, and under 5s go free!). Kids can make their own patterns, design a poster for London Zoo and illustrate a garden inspired by flowers in the exhibition, on our Enid Marx activity trail.

Alternatively, take one of our Drawing Activity sheet outs out into Granary Square. Don't forget you can tweet our Education departrment your artworks (they'd love to see them!).

September BSL Family Workshop: Family Figures

House of Illustration is happy to present a series of family workshops delivered in British Sign Language and spoken English. The second workshop in the series is inspired by our Quentin Blake exhibition. Children and their families will make their own ‘Family Figure’ (with a twist!) to take home with them at the end of the day. Book your place. On Saturday 1 September, 10.30am-1.30pm.

Get up close to a real-life illustrated car

Illustrator Jonny Hannah's colourful creation is on display outside House of Illustration until 31 August.

Plus, pack your swimming things in case of sunshine, when the fountains transform Granary Square into an urban beach, right on our doorstep!
