We hope that you find our plans to create a House of Illustration inspiring. To make this project happen we now need your help. We are one of many museums in the UK who receive no public funding and have no endowment.
Our Capital Campaign
We urgently need donations to raise over £6 million to establish our new home, and to support our exhibition and learning programmes.
At the moment, you can see what we do by looking at our website and visiting our temporary exhibitions and events. By October 2011 we will have refurbished an existing building in the Kings Cross Regeneration Area. We aim to create a friendly environment where children and adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures can come together to appreciate and participate in the art of illustration.

How to 
If you are a UK taxpayer, as a registered UK charity, we can reclaim the tax on your gift. For example, for a gift of £3,900 we are able to reclaim £1,100 in tax, making your donation worth £5,000. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you can reclaim an additional £900 in your tax return, which means that although we receive £5,000, you only pay us £3,000. Our £6 million capital campaign relies heavily on the early support of corporate sponsors, trusts and foundations, and major donors. You can help us to reach our target, and your funding at an early stage will encourage others to add their support.
