House of Illustration is located at 2 Granary Square, a few minutes' walk from King's Cross Station.
Please note this is the Granary Square in King's Cross, not in Islington. View a map here.
Instructions on getting here are below or you can download them here.
Directions from King's Cross Station
To find us, take the Regent's Canal exit of King’s Cross Station. You should see a large bird cage sculpture in front of you. Turn right to join King's Boulevard - a pedestrian route going north, up a slight hill. When you come to the top of the boulevard, cross the road onto a bridge over Regent’s canal. You should be facing UAL Central Saint Martins and the fountains (although they may be turned off!) This is Granary Square.
If you walk past the Lighterman Pub, you will find us at the north-east corner of Granary Square, the building to the right of Central Saint Martins. The entrance to House of Illustration is on the side facing the grassy area, nearer to the Waitrose entrance. Do not enter via the entrance that says ‘Art Fund’ – we are the entrance on the opposite side of the building.
One admission ticket grants entry to ALL of our current exhibitions and can be booked on any exhibition page.

Our shop and galleries are all on the ground floor and are fully wheelchair-accessible, with lift access to our workshop space, and accessible toilets. House of Illustration welcomes guide and assistance dogs.
Please be aware that we don’t have a cloakroom, so can only accomodate a limited number of large bags or suitcases behind the front desk on any day.
Photography of artwork for personal or commercial purposes is not permitted in our galleries. This policy is due to copyright restrictions and for reasons of security and conservation. A selection of images from each exhibition are viewable on our What’s on pages and are published as postcards by our gallery shop.
