What is Flickr?

Detail from an anonymous Victorian watercolour, 'What are you like?', reproduced by kind permission of Joanna Carey

Flickr is a website that you can use to show your images to friends, family, and the rest of the world! It’s free, and millions of people are members. By tagging your images with keywords and submitting them to groups, other people can find them easily.

Why is the House of Illustration using Flickr?

Flickr lets us put the images you’ve uploaded to the House of Illustration Flickr group on our website and in our newsletter. By sending your artwork to the ‘House of Illustration’ group on Flickr, you are entering our competition and at the same time asking Flickr fans what they think of your work. With your permission, we’ll put our favourite entries on the House of Illustration website and in our newsletter.
