Adult Masterclass: Editorial Illustration

Learn the basics of editorial illustration through practical exercises and industry advice

When, Where

Discover how to make illustrations for magazines and newspapers at this practical masterclass designed for illustrators looking to get into editorial illustration.

Learn how to tell stories that relate to the world around us and to work with editors with guidance from editorial illustrator Rebecca Hendin, who will present her own work and share her experience of working in the field.

You will be encouraged to develop your own illustration work through a range of activities encouraging diversity of style and expression. Editorial illustration takes many forms, so please bring along whatever materials you feel comfortable using, whether you prefer to work traditionally or digitally.

Some of the exercises will include an element of research, so all participants should also bring along a phone or laptop.

Basic drawing materials such as pens, pencils and paper will be provided.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid admissions allow us to reclaim tax on the full value of the ticket price, as well as the donation. This means an extra 25p in each pound.

If purchasing more than one ticket at the Gift Aid price the additional tickets must be for family members.

By selecting Gift Aid tickets you are confirming you are a UK taxpayer and that you are paying income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount of tax that all charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for each tax year (6 April to 5 April). Council tax and VAT do not qualify.
