Make your very own cartoon creature costumes using decorated and constructed card.
This workshop is an exciting opportunity to engage with illustration by an iconic artist whose work, on show in our current exhibition, extends beyond the page and adapts to the challenges of stage and screen.
“I always want to bring my creations to life – to bring them off the page and give them flesh and blood, movement and drama.” – Gerald Scarfe.
With guidance and demonstration from illustrator Grace Holliday, families will turn their own creations into 3D accessories. You'll learn the art of textural mark-making and vibrant pattern-making in creating designs which you'll then transform into hybrid-animal inspired headdresses, wings and tails.
Grace Holliday is a London based illustrator / mark-maker. Her practice explores detailed drawing techniques to create hand-made works of either archival or narrative quality. Find out more.
