Professional Development Day

A professional development day designed for recent graduates, MA students and early-career illustrators.

When, Where

Join us for a full day of quick-fire sessions, packed with practical advice and information about different aspects of making it as a professional illustrator.

House of Illustration staff will share their knowledge and experience, highlighting examples of career opportunities to be found by working in and around galleries. Plus, professional freelancers will share personal stories and advice from their own routes in to the industry.

Topics will include:

  • Curating illustration
  • Approaching retailers with a pitch
  • Building a social media profile
  • Working in education
  • Opportunities at House of Illustration

Please bring warm layers as the South Gallery is kept at a cool temperature to conserve the artwork on display.
