About the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration

Our new home.

We are transforming a fascinating but forgotten heritage site in central London into galleries, learning spaces and gardens.

The Quentin Blake Centre will be the UK’s home for illustration and the largest space in the world dedicated to illustration.

It will offer a range of exhibitions and projects, and safeguard the 45,000-work archive of one of Britain’s best-loved artists, Sir Quentin Blake.

We are working with Tim Ronalds Architects (the award-winning architects for Wilton’s Music Hall, Hackney Empire and The National Centre for Circus Arts) to open up New River Head’s historic buildings and share their amazing stories.

And we are creating a space where everyone can come to explore the vitality and variety of illustration, whether visitors, art-lovers, illustrators, families or students.
